Before you act, listen. Before you react, think. Before you spend, earn. Before you criticize, wait. Before you pray, forgive. Before you quit, try.

Glimpses of winter, in November
Inspirational Tuesday: Learning, Doing, Teaching
Learning is finding out what you already know. Doing is demonstrating that you know it. Teaching is reminding others that they know it just as well as you. We are all learners, doers and teachers.

Happy Monday: Chopin’s Berceuse
The winter is approaching. November is a quiet and still month. Perfect to retrospect and introspect. Just like this season, it’s also time for us to draw back and be still within ourselves; to be silent and calm. Nature goes back to itself to restore its powers and reborn in spring. We can use these months in the same way.
Chopins’s music (many of his nocturnes and piano sonatas) manage to convey this so beautifully. I can almost feel the stillness of nature and her calm composure in them. Peace and serenity, finally, after many months of spring and summer when all was maddeningly alive, vibrant and bursting with life. There is happiness and contentment in quietness, but of a different kind, and it has its purposes.
November it’s also bringing us closer to the end of the year: a moment to look back, with acceptance, on all that we have accomplished, have not and why, over the past months. Mostly, where do we want to stand, another year from now on. With what kind of people, feelings or accomplishments.
So, let us enjoy this beautiful piece of music, as well as all the benefits of the season! what do you love about it? :)

Inspirational Tuesday: about Magic
Magic is a sudden opening of the mind to the wonder of existence. It is a sense that there is much more to life than we usually recognize; that we do not have to be confined by the limited views that our family, our society, or our own habitual thoughts impose on us; that life contains many dimensions, depths, textures, and meanings extending far beyond our familiar beliefs and concepts.

Happy Monday: Wonderful Life – Black
Hello all!
After a little (crazy!) break, things have finally calmed down a bit in my life so we are continuing with the Happy Monday series. This time, one of your suggestions :) Thanks Guillermo! ;) it is definitely a soothing and calming song, that goes perfectly with a hot cup of coffee, tea and a good book (exactly the type I need right now!). Keep sending me your suggestions though. I’d love to hear what are your favorite songs!
How are you faring the coming of fall/autumn? I am still hanging on to my summer wardrobe, trying to make it work by using 2 layers or tights, multiple scarves and such but, I feel I shall give in to sweaters, pants and boots any time now… *sigh*.
In the meantime, enjoy this beautiful song and make your autumn days count anyway you can ;)
